Valuing Food Waste

Project Summary

The 'Valorising Food Waste' activity is part of the VIDA project, which aims to develop a strategy for delivering active molecules using plant vesicles obtained from food waste from UC canteens.

The proposed activity is aimed at young people who will have the chance to create their own natural paints using plant waste. With the paints created, participants will be able to let their imagination run wild and make paintings on a canvas provided for the purpose. During the activities, the concepts of waste and reuse will be discussed. The activity can easily be recreated at home with parents, thus creating synergies between science and everyday life.
